GreatBasinBicycles.com Initial design presented by Shawn Lemmon, I ported this previously tired site to Drupal for a great new look.
I've been designing and building websites for longer than I can remember now. Back in the early 1990s I was busy building lame static html pages over at GeoCities- ahh the good old days! There was a long subsequent period where I didn't think about websites, design, and coding (my dark period).
During my college years at the University of Nevada, Reno I took over the design and maintenance of the university's Student Union site. It was a fun way to spend 6 hours a day, sitting in my private little office and learning what was new and exciting in the web design world (back then, CSS). I studied computer science and art at UNR, and somehow that led me down the path of full-time website design and development.
For the last few years I've been focussing my attention on Drupal CMS based websites; was always looking to squeeze more functionality out of that CMS and make things that were new and exciting (read: I hate vanilla installations and love custom stuff). Drupal quickly becomes a pain when one has to spend a week every month updating all those sites, to keep up with all those security patches!
Historically, Wordpress was always a little on the lame side in my opinion- but, as of version 2.8, things started to get really interesting in that CMS. I'm having fun exploiting everything that Wordpress offers up for undocumented functionality, and it will continue to be my CMS of choice for a while.
TL;DR: I design & build websites and have been doing it for a long time. It's a great way to make a living!
